Condolences to David Cameron and family

Living on the North American continent, one can be very saturated with the news originated from here, particularly American. Yes, I do have BBC World News on my cable service but like all other cable stations, I don’t have time to watch them all (and I believe that can be a good thing). As I surfed the internet this morning on, I discovered that British Conservative Leader David Cameron’s six year old son died this past Wednesday. Though I have never met Mr.Cameron (and I am enthusiastic about him becoming Britian’s next prime minister in 2010), I extend my heartfelt sympathy to his wife and their two other children as they cope through a very sad and difficult time.

My Welcome to James Pate on WordPress

jamespatebiggerWho in the hell is James Pate? Ah, that is James Bradford Pate and don’t you forget it! He is a good friend that I have met on the internet for over a year when I discovered his blogsite called James Thoughts and Musings which is supported. He discusses those pesky things you don’t ever talk about at the dinner table: religion and politics—but he makes the issues so exciting! Oh yes, if you are expecting political correctness from him—as Tony Soprano and the mafia would say, “forgeddaboutit!” James is a 32 year old Harvard graduate (look out Mr.President, you got a competitor and so do you Mayor Miller!) who has a neurological condition called Asperger’s Syndrome, which is considered on the Autistic Disorder Spectrum. He freely and openly writes about his condition among other things. If you looking for somebody with a fiber of authenticity, look no further. He is also a Ph.D. student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, so his studies are go beyond Harvard. Despite his broad and thorough education, he talks to people as opposed to talking down to them. This does not mean you are exempt of not knowing what you are talking about, James rightly expects you to do your homework! I never once  heard him bragged about his degrees to beat people over the head to prove his intellectual superiority over others. Thumbs up James! Without further yapping I will now give the site location of his blog on wordpress called James Ramblings at So I heard this hard-right Republican (James) wants to challenge my statements on my posts  and I am a   “Purple Tory” Conservative (I will probably let James refer the Canadian definitions of Red and Blue Tory on wikipedia). Well it’s better than nobody making no comments here. At least James wants to make The Way I See It Anyway exciting (but civil) too…

Does City Pulse Tonight and The Temptations have any connection?

Some people are going to wonder when will I dispense of Obamamanina on this blog??? Well, that’s going to be quite a long time, but I am going to give some viewers a bit of a break. I hope every Friday night I can manage to present an old-school song but first I want my fellow Canadian viewers—especially in the Toronto area remember this tune on City TV  from the late 1970’s to the mid 1980’s on City Pulse Tonight???

Here are the originators of that great tune, The Temptations with one of their greatest works which is aptly and rightly called, “Masterpiece” back in the early 1970’s. Here are the full approximately 9 minutes of the song courtesy again of Enjoy everybody!

Oh yes! History is made here too! Two North American heads of state of African descent, U.S. President Barack Obama and Governor General Michaelle Jean finally meeting each other for the first time as President Obama makes his first outside the US visit: Canada this past Thursday to have a brief working meeting with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. This is truly the changing face of North America and thankfully, this is ONLY the beginning. I look forward to this trickling down state and province wide in the coming years and decades and I hope in the near future that I, who is of African-Canadian descent, will be a part of it. God bless the United States of America and God bless Canada.
